Lost Arkwas released to western audiences in North America and Europe on February 11th, and while the there was a lot of excitement leading up to the launch, the servers for the European region could not handle the amount of people wanting to play the game. Due to theunbearably long queue times forLost Ark, Amazon was forced to issue an apology and to provide the players with suitable compensation.

The compensation ended up being three days of free Crystalline Aura, a premium boost inLost Arkthat provides players 7,000 experience points every minute, a pet that provides storage and repair services, as well as 10% faster life recovery. In an effort to address the long queues,Lost Arkopened a new Europe West regionand introduced daily login incentives as a means of enticing European players to transfer over. There was one problem with the login rewards, though.

In theory, aLost Arkplayer could obtain up to a year’s worth of Crystalline Aura for free by claiming the Day 3 reward, and using the Blue Crystals from Day 6 to buy eight months of the premium boost – totaling up to 352 days of free Crystalline Aura. Once Amazon and SmileGate discovered this loophole, they were quick to remove the incentives from the daily login rewards in favor of new ones.

Namely, the new Day 3 reward has been changed to ten “Una’s Tasks” tickets that allow a player to reset the daily quest cooldown, while the new Day 6 reward now offers ten rare combat engraving books. Even though the developers were well within their rights to alter the daily login incentives, many in theLost Arkcommunity have bitterly expressed their dissatisfaction at how clumsily the whole situation has been handled thus far. Despite the hiccups,Lost Arkcontinues to grow on Steamand many players are still enjoying their time with the game – provided they can get past the queue.
