Purveyor of fine physical media, Limited Run Games,has announcedthat it will be releasing a hard copy of SNK’s upcoming Nintendo Switch compendiumNeo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 1.
The compilation of handheld classics from the early ’00s handheld will be available to pre-order in a limited four-week window, which opens on Thursday, April 22.Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 1will be available in standard boxed cartridge form, while a special edition will feature steelbook casing, a double-sided poster, and a short retrospective booklet taking a look at every game in the compilation, housed in NGPC-style reproduction packaging. A price was not announced.
Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 1collates 10 excellent releases from SNK ill-fated handheld. In the mix are the previously releasedSamurai Shodown! 2,King of Fighters R-2,SNK Gals’ Fighters, Fatal Fury: First Contact,The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny, and perhaps the console’s crown jewel:SNK vs Capcom: Match of the Millennium. New to this compilation are golf titleNeo Turf Masters, RPGDark Arms: Beast Buster, and the explosiveMetal Slug: 1st MissionandMetal Slug: 2nd Mission.
