After the release oftheGhostbustersreboot, Jones was relentlessly harassed on social media (Twitter in particular) by racist and misogynistic trolls, including infamous alt-right personality Milo Yiannopoulos, which resulted in his permanent ban from Twitter. Following this online harassment campaign, Jones received an outpouring of support from her fans and other celebrities. Thankfully, her attackers weren’t able to force her off Twitter and she continues to be a vocal and comedic voice on the platform.
