LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais the biggest LEGO video game ever created, and its newly leaked download size seems to reflect that. It’s not at hard drive-fillingCall of DutyorRed Dead Redemption 2levels just yet, but for a LEGO game it’s much more than expected.

LEGO fans have been playingStar Warsgame adaptations sinceLEGO Star Wars: The Video Gamekicked things off in 2005 with an adaptation of the prequel trilogy. It was a massive hit, and LEGO adaptations of the rest of the Saga up to theForce Awakenssoon followed. ButLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais a completely new game that spans the entire nine films, andfeatures brand new RPG mechanicsthat allow players to upgrade abilities and truly make each character feel different. It’s bigger than previous titles in every single way.

According to Twitter account PlaystationSize, the PS5 version ofLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawill have a download size of 38.182 GB. That’s without the likely day one patch, so players should expect it to be even larger and clear their hard drives accordingly. The game will be available for pre-load on April 3rd so players that preorder it can get things downloaded a couple of days early and start it up as soon as it launches on April 5th.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawas originally planned for release back in 2020, but numerous delays have plagued developer TT Games. Reports of thestudio’s unhealthy work environmenthave revealed that the developers have reportedly been subject to intense amounts of crunch time and discriminatory behavior, as employees are shifted from project to project in a development cycle that never seems to end.

TT Games hasmultiple unannounced LEGO projects in the worksbut one would hope that it can figure out how to ensure their employees are happy at work to continue to produce these beloved games.
