It’s been nearly 13 years sinceKingdom Hearts 2launched in North America, andKingdom Hearts 3is finally available to the masses. As can be expected, a lot has changed between the release of the two games, andKingdom Hearts 3introduces a number of new gameplay features as a result. One such new feature is the Gummiphone, which is unlocked fairly early on in the game and has a number of functions, like taking pictures.

Kingdom Hearts 3players will get their hands on the Gummiphone when they head to Twilight Town for the first time, as a gift fromChip and Dale. They’re then introduced to the Gummiphone’s features, like the Classic Kingdom mini-games and things of that nature, but one of the device’s most useful functions is taking pictures.Kingdom Hearts 3players are given tasks to take pictures of a variety of objects, people, and Lucky Emblems (hidden Mickey Mouse logos) all over the game’s various worlds, and are rewarded with helpful items for doing so.

So to take pictures inKingdom Hearts 3, players first have to have the Gummiphone in their possession. Once they have the Gummiphone, the button they have to hit will depend on which console they’re playing on. For PS4, players need to push the touchpad. For Xbox One, players need to hit the View button.

This will equip the camera in a first-person view. The triggers can be used to adjust the zoom of the camera, and the right bumper can be used to actually snap a photo. Additionally,Kingdom Hearts 3players can take a selfie by pressing the A button on Xbox or the X button on PlayStation 4 while the camera is equipped.

As previously stated, taking pictures inKingdom Hearts 3is a bit more involved than in other games with similar features. Taking photos is directly tied to getting gameplay rewards, and the Lucky Emblems areone of the game’s many collectibles. This means anyone who wants to completeKingdom Hearts 3fully will have to take a lot of pictures over the course of their adventure.

Kingdom Hearts 3is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
