Kelly’s Las Vegas residency is calledKelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions, and it kicked off on July 11and is scheduled to run until November 15 at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. It will consist of 18 shows. Just hours before Kelly’s opening night on July 4, she announced that she had to postpone the first two concerts because she needed to rest her voice after intense rehearsals.
In an Instagram post,Kellyannounced that she had to postpone the remainder of her August Las Vegas residency dates because her ex-husband and the father of her two children, Brandon Blackstock, is ill. She wrote,“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas.”
Kelly continued,“While I normally keep my personal life private,this past year, my children’s father has been illand at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
Kelly concluded by saying,“I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the showsand I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”
The comments section of Kelly’s post was filled with words of support from her friends and fans, who praised her for putting her family first.
