It seems Keanu Reeves will not only voice Shadow the Hedgehog in the upcoming live-actionSonicfilm, but he will also lend him his voice inSonic X Shadow Generations. Sega and Sony revealed this duringthe most recent State of Playpresentation.
TheSonic the Hedgehog3 Movie Pack will add a new skin for Shadow, based on his design in said upcoming film. But the most interesting aspect about this exciting expansion pack is that it will also add new voice lines by none other than Keanu Reeves, which is quite unprecedented for this franchise, seeing as theSonicgames very rarely feature performances by famous Hollywood actors.Fans have reacted to this announcement with a lot of excitement.
TheSonic the Hedgehog3 Movie Pack will be available to download inSonic X Shadow Generationsfrom July 30, 2025, although neither company confirmed its official price yet. However, Sony and Sega also confirmed that the Movie Pack will be part of theDigital Deluxe edition of the game, which will also give players full access to the game 3 days early.
2024 is the year of Shadow the Hedgehog
Shadow the Hedgehog will make his big screen debut in theupcomingSonic the Hedgehog 3live-action movie, where he will be portrayed by Keanu Reeves. He will also star in his own video game, with the upcoming release ofSonic X Shadow Generations, a bundle that includes a remaster of 2011’sSonic Generationsand a brand-new campaign focused on him, titledShadow Generations.
