Today’sWordleis a big challenge. In spite of that, however, hundreds of players will log on today to try it out. Here’s how everyone can play and also a little help for whoever needs it.
How To Play Wordle
First, head to the NYT GamesWordlewebsite. Back in February of 2022, theNew York Times purchased Wordlefrom the original developer of the game, powerlanguage’s Josh Wardle. The original version of the game is now hosted through the newspaper’s game website; other versions ofWordlewill have different answers and may have slightly different rules.

After getting to the right site, which works on both desktop and mobile devices, choose astartingWordleword. It must be five-letters long and a real English word. Players should also avoid most offensive words, so most of those were removed by the NYT when it took over. The starting word should also have a good distribution of common letters and at least two different vowels to get some good clues to the answer. Type the chosen word into the website and press enter. The letters of the word will then change colors.
Given these clues, players have just five more guesses to get to the right answer. Puzzles reset daily at 12:00AM. After the puzzle is complete, don’t forget to check out theWordlemenu; this menu contains not only stats, but also a spoiler-free share button for anyone wanting to share their board colors without giving away the answer to anyone they know on social media.
