Our Take On Oswald The Lucky Rabbit’s Latest Update

The Show Has Enormous Potential

As someone who did not know about the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit character until recently, I amintrigued to learn more about an iconic Disney character who predates Mickey Mouse. The rights to Oswald were reacquired by the Walt Disney Company in 2006 and entered the public domain in 2023.

Between the beloved Christmas movieElf, launching the Marvel Cinematic Universe withIron Man, and helming the first live-actionStar Warsshow withThe Mandalorian, Favreau is a visionary filmmaker, and he knows how to cast the right individuals for his projects. I have no doubt thatSedaris will be a perfect addition to this Disney+ series.

Since a Peli and Wim meeting has not happened yet,Oswald the Lucky Rabbitis the next best thing. Even though Sedaris is reportedly playing the mother of Allen’s character, Ihope that she will have an opportunity to interact with Cabot-Conyers' charactertoo.
