In 2017, Warner Bros. hired Joss Whedon to finish theJustice Leaguemovie for Zack Snyder, who had to leave the project during the post-production phase to cope with the tragic death of his daughter. The finished product left much to be desired, with both reviewers and fans alike criticizing the film for tonal inconsistencies and a variety of other issues. Even though Snyder’sBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewas just as poorly received, if not more so, the poor reception toJustice Leaguehas led to a rallying cry for Warner Bros. to release the so-called “Snyder Cut” of theJustice Leaguefilm.

Some ofJustice League’s actors have voiced their support for the release of the Snyder Cut as well, though one actor who has yet to chime in is Jesse Eisenberg, who playedLex Luthorin the DCEU. In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Eisenberg explained that he does not watch movies that he’s in, and so he’s unaware of a “Snyder Cut” or how it would be different than what was theatrically released.

“I’m not part of, I don’t even know what to call it: the movement. I likeZack Snyderand I worked with him for a while just by virtue of these movies taking so long to film. I love his style and aesthetic and if there’s a movie he wanted to see released, I’m sure it would be great.”

So while Eisenberg hasn’t joined the “Snyder Cut movement” officially, it seems he would have no problem with that version ofJustice Leaguebeing released. Whether or not it will ever see the light of day is another story entirely, but in the meantime, fans can look forward to seeingWonder Woman 1984in theaters this summer.
