The DCU Directly Affects Peacemaker’s Season 2 Story

Peacemaker’s DCU story promises to expand dramatically in season 2, building on the emotional fallout of season 1. After killing Rick Flag Jr. and struggling with guilt over the truth aboutPeacemakerseason 1’s Project Butterfly, Chris Smith’s future in the DCU still depends on redefining his values.Peacemakerseason 2 will force Chris to confront his past more directly thanks to Rick Flag Sr.

Peacemaker’s rejection by the Justice Gang teases a personal feud with Maxwell Lord’s team not unlike that of Chris Smith’s with the DCEU Justice League. Superman’s allies, and perhaps even Superman himself, may view Chris Smith as a liability or threat. InPeacemakerseason 2, Chris will likely be outside of the DCU’s new superhero order just as bigger threats arrive.
