It’s been a long wait forCall of Dutyfans. Amidst rampant speculation about the identity of the nextCall of Dutygame, between Infinity Ward’s former creative strategistRobert Bowling issuingModern Warfare-related teasesand a plethora of other indicators, Infinity Ward’s Taylor Kurosaki, the Studio Narrative Director, has responded to a fan’s desperate plea for a teaser or reveal.

Aside from the internet’s abundance of theorizing and spreading of rumors about2019’sCall of Dutygame, Twitter user Scarpelt the COD Warrior reached out to Studio Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki, as well as to Activision and Infinity Ward generally, to get some information. The reason for this, he states in a formal letter, is that fans “are getting very anxious, and actually fighting each other and being toxic on the internet… People are just being jerks to each other on the Subreddit.”

Kurosaki responded in a relatively reassuring tone. In a tweet, Kurosaki said, “Take a deep breath. Be patient. Great things come to those who wait.”

To Scarpelt’s point,Modern Warfare 4’s Subreddit has featured a considerable amount of speculative posts. From those of merchandise listings indicating aJune reveal for the nextCall of Dutyto fake logos and concept art, it can be hard to discern the truth, especially given the apparent authenticity of the materials when compared to previousModern Warfarelogos and concept art.

In any case, it’s endearing that Kurosaki stepped in to assure Scarpelt that Infinity Ward’s nextCall of Dutyinstallment will be of great satisfaction. It shows the company is loyal and sympathetic to its fans.

Given that pastCall of Dutygames have typically been announced in late April or early May, it’s easy to understand the frustration of fans. Moreover, in lieu of ample rumors that the next game will belong to the reveredModern Warfarelineage, either in the form ofModern Warfare 4or aModern Warfare 2remaster, it’s safe to say that some frustration will continue regardless.
