Ever since its introduction during episode #240 of theDragon Ball Zanime, the Fusion Dance has been one of the most popular techniques used in the series. This powerful skill has been vital for Goku and his friends to defeat numerous opponents, from the evil Janemba to the sinister Zamasu. Among the several fused warriors that have been revealed, Gogeta is by far the most recognizable.
While it is true that this imposing fighter is undoubtedlyone of the strongest characters in theDragon Ballfranchise, it is not Goku’s strongest fusion, not by a long shot. There is only one warrior worthy of the title of the most powerful character merge ever, and it is none other than God Fusion Goku, from theDragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D at Super Tenkaichi Budokaiattraction.

Goku’s Strongest Fusion Is Not Gogeta
The Mighty Warrior is Part of Universal Studios Japan’s History
As a part of Japan’s Universal Jump Summer 2017, a special limited-time 4-D attraction was released forDragon Ballfans to enjoy. Attendants were taken to a small theater wherea never-before-seen short film would play out. This special entry in the franchise took fans to the location of the World Martial Arts Tournament, where Goku and his friends were having an all-out battle to see who would fight Mr. Satan in the finals. As their battle unfolds, Broly makes a sudden appearance, utilizing a new form never seen during the main series.
God Broly can defeatevery one of the strongest Z Fighterspresent at the tournament, even Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue Form. The audience, who were watching the event from a capsule piloted by Bulma, became the target of the enraged villain, forcing Goku to put himself between his nemesis and the machine. Vegeta, worried about his wife, takes the full strength of Broly’s blast, leaving him unconscious for the rest of the fight. Mr. Satan, taking advantage of the distraction, uses the Dragon Balls to summon Shenron, asking him to defeat Broly.

While the Eternal Dragon was unable to grant this desire, he told Goku that they could use a secret technique to win the battle, to which Kakarot agreed. After asking the audience to join forces with him,Goku fuses with everyone in the room, becoming a new warriorthat resembles a merging between Goku’s base and Super Saiyan Blue forms. This mighty warrior easily outclasses Broly, ending the fight with a massive Kamehameha that disintegratesDragon Ball’s most controversial villain.
God Fusion Goku Is a True Monster
His Power Is Like Nothing Fans Have Ever Seen
Even though the battle between Broly and Goku’s new form is brief, the implications of Kakarot’s power during these moments are quite terrifying. God Broly was undoubtedlyone of the strongest villains the heroes have ever fought against. Not only was he able to defeat Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue with a single attack, but his legendary nature meant that his power would continue rising with time. Since this was the movie-only version of Broly, whose powers are widely different fromSuper’s, the God form was likely growing several times faster.
Despite this massive boost in ability, God Fusion Goku was not only able to control the fight from the moment he joined, but also destroy the villain with a single attack. The Kamehameha used by the merged warrior left no trace of Broly behind, implying that it was vastly more powerful than the antagonist. Although there is no way for the power demonstrated by the hero to be measured, it is quite clear that it was higher than anything fans have ever seen.

How Did Goku Obtain This Form?
Shenron’s Magic Hides Many Secrets
Throughout the limited time of the attraction, many fans became curious about the technique used by the Eternal Dragon to empower Goku to fight God Broly. Up until that point in the franchise, the idea of Shenron being able to fuse more than two fighters had never been explored, not even during times of peril, such as the Majin Buu saga. The technique was also seemingly mentioned to Goku at some point in the past, as the dragon only hinted at it being the wish that could grant Kakarot victory before he agreed.
It might be likely that the true reason behind this skill never being used in the main timeline is how overpowered it is.

This version of the Fusion Dance, which falls under this category due to Goku posing like he usually does before merging with the audience, canonly be obtained via a wish. This is more than likely the reason why the heroes never considered it as a viable option during their battles. It also seems to work similarly to Join Bugs, the new form of Fusion introduced during theDaimaanime. These insects were supposed to allow numerous people to merge into a single warrior, althoughthe anime ultimately fumbled the concept of this fusion.
The technique seen during the attraction might have been the inspiration forDaima’s fusion tools, as it came out around the same time that the prequel began production. Nonetheless, it might be likely that the true reason behind this skill never being used in the main timeline is how overpowered it is.Goku’s power ascended beyond that of a deity, and that was with regular humans being the ones to lend him power. If Kakarot had merged with his friends, it would be hard to imagine how strong he might have been.
Could a Similar Fusion Ever Be Introduced?
There Is a Plot Hole That Might Hint at This Being the Case
Even though it is true that a powerful warrior such as God Fusion Goku would not fit well with the world ofDragon Ball, seeing as he would easily defeat all enemies, there is a possibility for a similar character to be born.Daima’s Join Bugs were never used during the series, despite Kakarot carrying them throughout most of the anime. At no point during the series is it implied that the hero disposed of these bugs or that they were used by anyone else.
This means that Goku seemingly brought these tools back to Universe 7 after the ending of the anime, making it possible for the heroes to study or use them in the future. Seeing as how Black Frieza has been confirmed by the series as the strongest villain in the main timeline, there is little the heroes can do now to defeat him. DespitetheDragon Ballcast being the most powerful they have ever been, the villain demands someone mightier. It could be possible that a warrior like God Fusion Goku will use the Join Bugs to fight Frieza.
