Camille (Camille Razat) looking sad in Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 trailer

After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away fromEmily in Paris. It has been a truly wonderful experience — one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories. I’m deeply grateful to Darren Star and the entire team at Netflix and Paramount for their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part ofEmily In Parisworld.

This character has meant a lot to me, and I feel that her storyline has naturally come to an end. It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons.

What This Means For Emily In Paris

Emily In Paris Might Be Losing Another Main Character

Unfortunately, Camille is not the only character who might be leaving ahead of season 5. As of writing,Thalia Besson was not yet confirmed to be coming back for season 5. Besson played the secondary antagonist, Geneviève, inEmily in Parisseason 4, so she and Camille created a lot of the main conflicts. If Besson does not return, this could create a huge problem for season 5, as both potential villains would be out of commission.

Razat’s departure will also force the writers to find a reasonable way to quickly write Cami out of the story. A lot happened to the Emily in in season 4, and the final episodes saw her planning to adopt a baby and start a new life as a single mom. This major life change will have to happen off-screen, as the show will not have the opportunity to wrap up Camille’s narrative on screen. However, even before this update,Star had previously hinted that Cami may not returnin the upcoming season, so it sounds like this has been in conversation for a while.
