TheSims 4 Enchanted by NatureExpansion Pack introduces Fables, which are essentially quests given to players by different residents of Innisgreen, the DLC’s new world. These can have very worthwhile rewards, from rare ingredients to magical items. They also serve as a means of expanding the lore of the area and thefairy occults introducedin the EP.
One fable, entitled Not Mushroom For Error, requires solving a series of riddles given by mushrooms. Given to players by Spruce Almighty,there are a total of four mushrooms that players must locate and speak to to complete the quest. The fable comes with some worthwhile rewards, including an item that can’t be obtained any other way.

Spruce Almighty Is The Key To This Fable
To begin the quest, players will need to travel to the Sprucederry Grove neighborhood. In the center of the neighborhood, south of Gringle’s bar, there is a Glaswood Tree - a tree adorned in leaves with a face in the center. Sims need to interact with this tree and select Summon, which will temporarilybring forth the PlantSim NPCSpruce Almighty.
After an introduction, select the Acquire a Fable option, which should be on the initial wheel of interactions. A second screen will pop up to confirm acceptance of the fable, after which the goals for it can be found in the career tab. The fable requires solving four riddles from a blue, green, yellow, and red mushroom, all of which can be found in the area surrounding the Glaswood Tree.
How To Solve The Blue & Red Mushroom Riddles
Players Will Need A Plant & Some Nature Knowledge
The closest mushroom to the Glaswood Tree is the blue one, which can be found down and to the left when facing the tree, which gives players this riddle:

Theanswer to the blue mushroom’s riddle is Bioluminescent Mushroom. To select this response, the Sim must have Lightning Root leaves. There are several easy ways to acquire these. There’s a plant that can be harvested from the Everdew neighborhood in front of the Summerdream household, or grown by purchasing a seed from the garden supply store in Sprucederry Grove near the Glaswood Tree.
A Lightning Root plant can be connected to a Sim’s power grid to reduce electricity bills.
The yellow mushroom is located farther down the same path to the right, and offers the following riddle:
Good luck or bad, we’re here to stay.
A portal to fairy land?
Or toadstool spores’ outward expand?
Theanswer is A Fairy Ring, which to select requires either unlocking oneEnchanted by Naturenotebook entryor becoming a fairy. The former is much simpler, and may already be completed if players did the blue riddle first, as Lightning Root is an entry. If not, one of the easiest ways is to visit Moondrop Springs - located in Everdew next to Starsong Lounge - and select Ask Moondrop Springs How It’s Feeling. It can also be done via methods like harvesting the magical plants in Everdew, foraging, or using the Hear Tales interaction on Spruce Almighty if he’s still nearby.
How To Solve The Red & Green Mushroom Riddles

The red mushroom is across from the yellow mushroom, and gives Sims this riddle:
I’m a fungi, I swear it’s true,
but if you touch, Grim collects you!
This is the easiest one of the fable’s four riddles to solve, as it has no prerequisites. Thecorrect answer is Fly Agaric. The green mushroom is right below the red one, and asks players the following:
Rich but not rare, the Landgraabs eat,
but to the rags, a chocolate sweet.
Thecorrect answer is Truffle, and selecting it requires that players have at least 5,000 Simoleons in household funds. If Sims don’t currently have this, players could always utilizeSims 4money cheatsto quickly correct the issue, or save up money the honest way until they have enough. Once all the riddles have been completed, the Fable will conclude, and Sims will be left with several rewards: Aura Blossom, Lightning Root, and Moody Shrub seeds, and their very own Glaswood Tree they can put on their home lot.
This allows Sims to summon Spruce Almighty whenever they please, and he can offer them a variety of knowledge and assistance, from teaching them about gnomes and PlantSims to helping with luck - one of the EP’s new mechanics - or gardening. Though be warned, in typical fashion, this can all go wrong - sometimes, he may mess up and change Sims' luck for the worse. Players can even romance Spruce Almighty if they want to, though the lore ofThe Sims 4 Enchanted by Natureemphasizes he’s still hung up on his ex, Mother Nature.
