In honor of you, our fans, we’re starting a week-long celebration of the one-year anniversary of thisGod of War. I’m very happy to indulge you with a small token of our appreciation.

As for what’s next, rumors have already surfaced online that aGod of Warsequel is already in the works. The news came from Kotaku’s Jason Schreier who claimed on a Reddit thread that Santa Monica Studio is already hard at work in developing a follow-up to 2018’sGod of War.

While no official confirmation has been made despite the game’s first anniversary this week, a sequel toGod of Waris inevitable especially after the 2018 reboot was recently awarded asBest Game during the BAFTA awardsa couple of weeks ago. Given thatGod of War’sanniversary week is just starting, it wouldn’t be surprising if Santa Monica Studio is planning to release a teaser for the rumored sequel by the end of the celebration.
