Several days ago, Warner Bros. Interactive and IO Interactive officially unveiled the forthcoming release ofHitman 2, confirming the game with a reveal trailer and announcing its inclusion of aco-op mode. Now with E3 2018 in full swing, the companies decided to give fans of the long-running stealth-action franchise yet another look at the sequel by offering up a new gameplay trailer showcasing Agent 47 in Miami.

As seen in the video below, it looks as ifHitman2boasts some of the most innovative ways for Agent 47 to utilize the surrounding environment and its objects as weapons yet, with the assassin handily switching between silenced pistols and frozen sturgeons with ease. What’s more is that the Miami mission will host one of the most elaborate assassination plots yet, with thousands attending the Innovation Race while Agent 47 navigates through the crowds to eliminate his targets in broad daylight.

There’s no telling at this point just how much base content thatHitman 2will contain, but it was recently revealed that post-launch DLCwill not be released in an episodic structurelike that of its predecessor. With this being the case, there’s a chance that the sequel could contain a meaty amount of gameplay from day one, with add-ons to come at a later date.

Hitmanfans are surely pleased that IO Interactive hasfound a new publisher in Warner Bros. Interactive. After all, many wondered if Agent 47’s number was up after IO Interactive became an independent studio again. Thankfully, it seems as if even more international espionage and virtual assassinations are to come withHitman 2.

Hitman 2is currently scheduled to release on July 19, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
