ThePlayStation Store regularly offers discounts on games, but it’s rare for the platform to offer such a dramatic discount, especially with a game as highly-regarded as Firaxis’XCOM 2.
XCOM 2first launched in February 2016 for PC, but it made its way to Sony’s PlayStation 4 console and other platforms later that same year. A direct sequel to the popularXCOM: Enemy Unknown,XCOM 2earned even stronger reviews from critics, with praise for the various improvements it introduced over its predecessor.XCOM 2has an 87 overall critic rating, making it one of the higher-rated titles available to play on PS4.

Anyone interested inXCOM 2can get the game for just $2.99 instead of the usual $59.99 asking price if they purchase it through the PlayStation Store by February 2. In the meantime, theXCOM 2Digital Deluxe Edition is also available at a steep discount for those interested, with the price slashed by 90% to $7.49 from $74.99. TheXCOM 2Digital Deluxe Edition includes the digital version of the game’s soundtrack and the Reinforcement Pack, which comes with the Anarchy’s Children, Alien Hunters, and Shen’s Last Gift DLC.
It goes without saying that this is an incredible deal, especially for anyone that has yet to playXCOM 2for themselves.
