Last week, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata held a “Chotto Nintendo Direct” to announce DLC level packs forNew Super Mario Bros. 2in Japan. Today, Nintendo of Americapurple PikminReggie Fils-Aime detailed how the new DLC will work on this side of the Pacific.

While Japan will receive the new goodies today, we’ll have to wait until October 4. Each of the three packs, which contain three Coin Rush levels apiece, will set you back $2.50. The “Gold Coin Pack” is intended for any ol’Marioplayer, the “Coin Challenge Pack A” is ripe for intermediate players, and the insane-looking “Nerve Wrack Pack” is reserved forMarioveterans. As in Japan, a second and third batch of stages will arrive towards the ends of October and November.
