Helldivers 2has been a roller coaster of a release for Arrowhead Games, having consistently faced controversies in the year and a half since its release. Even if Helldivers 2 has had a love-hate relationship with its fans over the years, it’s come an incredibly long way since its inception to become the best it’s ever been.

On top of the already reliable player count numbers,Helldivers 2will get a significant boost with the upcoming Xbox port, releasing on August 26. WhileHelldivers 2isn’t likely to start a new trend of Sonyporting more exclusives to Xbox, it’s still a fantastic way to pump more life into the game by bringing in a fresh new wave of eager recruits with its latest updates.

Helldivers 2 Is In A Really Good Spot

Offering A More Consistently Enjoyable Gameplay Experience

After waves of balance issues, controversial monetization, and overall instability problems,Helldivers 2is finally in a fantastic state to play with more content to experience than ever. Even though the release of theHelldivers 2Xbox port is likely to bring up some new issues with the different hardware,Arrowhead Games has more than proven its ability to quickly adapt to its share of technical issues.

As if the current state ofHelldivers 2wasn’t enough on its own,Arrowhead has recently launched the 1.003.200 patch to make the game even more enjoyable, offering plenty of smaller gameplay additions and balance adjustments.

This isn’t to say thatHelldivers 2isn’t without its flaws, as each content update usually runs the risk of introducing other issues, with some of the more glaring recent glitches even beingcapable of nuking entire lobbies. AlthoughHelldivers 2still has the occasional bugs that can’t be overcome with a democratically issued firearm, these most recent additions are more than welcome changes for the game:

While the latest large-scale patch isn’t as exciting as the launch of a new combat campaign like the Illuminate, the changes still received a massive wave of support from its online community.

Xbox Players Will Be Diving Into A Great Era

Following A Bold New Leap For Helldivers 2

Compared to the initial launch ofHelldivers 2or many of its subsequent controversial periods,Xbox players have a significant advantage in arriving so late to the party by not having to wait nearly as long for more content. On top of having one of the most stable game states, the live service nature ofHelldivers 2means there’s a massive amount of stratagems, weaponry, and armor to unlock and experience firsthand.

Offering plenty of creative and worthwhile gear to unlock.

There is some downside in that Xbox players will have a hard time catching up withHelldivers 2’s ever-growing catalog of Warbonds to purchase; the selection of content is just as much of a blessing as a curse. While some of the early Warbonds may have struggled at first, each ofHelldivers 2’s latest additions, like thehighly anticipated Control Group Warbond, all have a unique identity, offering plenty of creative and worthwhile gear to unlock.

Regardless of the wait, there has been no better time for Xbox players to start unleashing democracy after spectating the virtual war for so long, with three new factions and a plethora of exciting new enemies to face off against inHelldivers 2.
