Hearthstoneis about to have its largest Twitch drop ever. Once the campaign begins, players will be able to get a ton of free packs just by watching their favoriteHearthstonecontent creators during the accompanying event.
Recently,Hearthstoneannounced Twist–a newly constructed game mode with regularly-changing rules. New Age, the first Twist format that uses cards from every set sinceAshes of Outland, begins next week and runs through the Twist beta in July.

To celebrate the new format,Hearthstoneis holding a Twist preview event. This event begins on June 22 at 9 AM PST, and runs for 24 hours. Throughout the day, select players from NA, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC will go live on a special preview client of Twist to try out the format for the first time. During this period, players can watch three hours of anyHearthstonestreamers–including those not in the theorycrafting event–on Twitch to earn a whopping nine packs for free.
Each of the nine packs players can earn from this Twitch drop event correspond with the legal expansions in the New Age Twist format, sansHearthstone’snewFestival of Legendsset:
Considering the New Age Twist also uses all cards legalin StandardHearthstoneright now, players should be able to construct a deck for it no matter what. However, tapping into the sets from the previous three years with these free packs will hopefully give players the chance to discover new strategies they can’t use in Standard.
Besides new player bundles, the only timeHearthstonehas given away this many free packs at oncein recent memory was last Christmas’s Feast of Winter Veil gift. The drop also has a 24-hour claim period, so these packs are easy for everyone to earn, regardless of where they live. ManyHearthstoneplayers were already excited to try out the new format, but this Twitch drop has only generated more hype. With pre-built Battle-Ready Decks coming to the store for both Gold and Runestones alongside the new Twist format, it is about to get a lot easier for players to bulk out theirHearthstonecollections.
