What This Means For Heart Eyes

It Has Another Chance To Prove Itself

The streaming release date forHeart Eyesonce againplaces the Valentine’s Day slasher movie in direct competition with another Valentine’s Day-themed movie, theKe Huy Quan action comedyLove Hurts. The latter title, which opened on the same weekend in February 2025, is set to make its streaming debut on Peacock on May 9. It makes sense that both movies would debut on streaming around the same time, because theatrical windows for a variety of movies have grown increasingly similar in the modern era, no matter the distributor.

Love Hurtsstars Ke Huy Quan as a former assassin whose new life as a realtor is turned upside down when his past comes back to haunt him.

Our Take On The Heart Eyes Streaming Release Date

The Movie Could Do Very Well On Netflix

One potentially negative side effect of theHeart Eyestheatrical release being timed to Valentine’s Day is the fact that its streaming release feels disconnected from the movie’s core holiday. However, even if its streaming numbers don’t already surge in May by virtue of the movie being newly available on Netflix (a possibility that already seems entirely likely),it seems highly probable that it will continue to find new viewers every Valentine’s Dayas people seek out themed movies to watch, potentially helping cement it as a yearly rewatch for many audience members.
