What The Weasley Sibling Casting Means For The Harry Potter TV Show
All four of the Weasley siblings are important to the larger story of the Wizarding World’s core story. On thecast of theHarry Pottermovies, the actors included James Phelps as Fred, Oliver Phelps as George, Chris Rankin as Percy, and Bonnie Wright as Ginny. These new stars will have some very big shoes to fill in the series.
All four of the siblings have important roles to playin the larger story of the franchise. This includes Fred and George being nearly inseparable twins, best known for their comic relief. Ginny is also important as she later becomes Harry’s core love interest, fighting in a multitude of battles alongside the major characters as time goes on.

Percy Weasley’s storylineis quite different from his siblings, as he has a rockier relationship with his family. Given the series will afford much more time to each book, his inclusion in season 1 seems like it could broaden his story, which was notably cut short during the film adaptation. All four actors involved appear to embody their characters perfectly.
Our Take On The Weasley Children’s Casting In The Harry Potter Series
Based on the photo of all five Weasley siblings together, the Harlands, Spooner, and Cochrine are already doing a great job at embodying Ron’s family. The five are bound to have plenty of interesting interactions with one another over the course of the story, which could expand beyond the book pages across all eight episodes.
Harry Potterseason 1 is currently filming, with season 2 set to begin production in mid-2026.

Of course, since the show is being planned out over the course of 10 years, with all seven books getting adaptations, the way the siblings' relationships grow and change throughout will likely have plenty of detail.
