A major milestone is coming up forHalo: The Master Chief Collection. Season 5 be the first to begin inHalo: The Master Chief Collectionsince all of the collection’s games were released on PC. Season 4 began on November 16, focusing onHalo 4content, and after thatHalo: Reachlaunched on November 17 for PC. Season 5 of theHalo: The Master Chief Collectionstarting January 27 will be a celebration of the full launch of theHaloseries across PC and Xbox, and it has content to support the occasion.

In a recently shared Twitter post, the officialHaloaccount detailed its upcoming plans for Season 5. The key detail shared is thatSeason 5 ofHalo: The Master Chief Collectionwill feature 80 different pieces of armor for players to unlock, either inHalo 3or the recently releasedHalo Reach. Players will be able to unlock all of this and more through Season 5 just by playing the game.

The post also confirms that the new season ofHalo: The Master Chief Collectionwill include “brand new weapon skins,” which should pair nicely with the new armor, as well as a new set ofSeasonal Challenges. These Seasonal Challenges will allow players to earn four different unique rewards, though the rewards have yet to be revealed.

As expected, the Season 5 content forHalo: The Master Chief Collectionwill be available acrossPC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Further,Halo: The Master Chief Collectionfeatures crossplay after Season 4, which means progression for unlocks will carry over regardless of what platform the player is on. Hopefully, Season 5 will bring even more exciting additions forHalo: The Master Chief Collection.
