The first of the new characters is Escoffier.HoYoverse has confirmed that Escoffier is a Cryo character from Fontaine, but hasn’t revealed much more information about her. However, the Version 5.6 beta tests have seen her entire kit leaked. According toEscoffier’s leaked kit inGenshin Impact5.6, she will be a 5-star Cryo character who uses a polearm in battle.
According to the leaks,Escoffier should operate as a Cryo sub-DPS in team comps. This is because she can allegedly summon a Cooking Mek with her Elemental Skill, which follows the active character and periodically shoots attacks that deal Cryo DMG against enemies even when she is off the field. In addition to that, the leaks say that Escoffier can deal AoE Cryo DMG with her Burst and even heal allies based on her ATK. Furthermore, the leaks aboutEscoffier’s Elemental Skill inGenshin Impactindicate it has a different form, which is used for cooking unique types of food.
What differentiates her Cooking Mek’s combat form and cooking form is tapping and holding the Skill button, according to the leaks, so you’ll likely need to be careful not to hold her Skill while in combat.
