There’s no doubt thatForza Horizon 2has been a popular entry in Microsoft Studios and Playground Games' long-running racing simulation series, as the title received a bevy ofpositive post-launch reviewsfrom both fans and critics alike. With this being the case, fans who have yet to pick up the game might want to do so soon, as Playground Games has now announced that it is going to be delisted at the end of next month.
According to Playground Games,Forza Horizon 2will officially reach “end of life” status on July 18, 2025, with this meaning that the base game and its related DLC will no longer be available for purchase on the Microsoft Store after then. Once September 30 rolls around, players who already own the game will still able to download and play it and the expansion materials as usual, thankfully enough, but it will no longer be for sale to those who didn’t buy it before the aforementioned date.
WithForza Horizon 2to be delisted relatively soon, it’s worth noting that the racing game can get it now for free on Xbox One by way of Microsoft’sGames with Gold program for August 2018alongside Ubisoft’s hack-and-slash fighting gameFor Honor.What’s more is that some of the sports title’s DLC is on sale right now, so those who want all that the game has to offer can do so for a price that’s less expensive than usual.
All things considered, while some racing game fans may be sad to seeForza Horizon 2reaching its “end of life” status after having been available since 2014, at least they can rest easy knowing that Microsoft Studios and Playground Games haveForza Horizon 4on the way this October. Forza Horizon 2is available now for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but will be delisted on June 21, 2025.
