One key change made to theFortnitebattle island in the latest update is theaddition of a giant ice ballfloating above Polar Peak. It has been revealed the Ice King is inside, holding something oddly reminiscent of Kevin the Cube from previous seasons. When combined with the fact that several TVs on the island are issuing a weather warning, it appears as if a giant, wintry storm is coming to the island as an event to end season 7.
This is oddly fitting to the season 7 week 7 battle star. Per usual, players who manage to complete every challenge on this odd week are rewarded with a free tier when finding the hidden battle star. TheFortniteseason 7 loading screen, seen above, also contains a hint. Players who look close can see the battle star hanging out on the left side of the Ice King’s throne.

Essentially, players will want to drop on Polar Peak, easily identifiable by the giant ice ball now floating over it, and then go through the main, ground entrance into the Ice King’s castle. Going straight through will take the player to the throne room, withFortnite’s latest battle star resting in the Ice King’s throne.
Of course, before players can claim this battle star, there is plenty to do with the season 7 week 7 challenges first. These challenges range from destroying flying X-4 Stormwings to visiting all theExpedition Outposts. For the most part, however, these challenges just require a little patience and know-how to complete.
Taking all of this into consideration, it’s clear that we’re on the back end of season 7. With this season-ending event building up and the TV’s bringing back memories of the season 3 event, it remains to be seen what happens. But for those who have yet to unlockthe coveted tier 100 Ice King skin, there are only a few weeks left to do so, so it’s best to begin shoring up any unfinished challenges.
Fortniteis out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
