A reliableFortniteleaker, whopreviously revealed Season 3’s flooding theme, has revealed a possible date for the cars teased in a previous trailer. If this release date is correct, it could shake up the update schedule and even hint at a longer Season.

Chapter 2, Season 3,also known as Splashdown, brought major flooding to the world ofFortnitealong with features like the ability to waterski behind loot sharks and an Aquaman-themed skin. One of the trailers for this season shows cars racing around the map, but that’s a feature that currently in the game. However, if a recent leak is to be believed, players will be able to get behind the wheel of those cars in just a few weeks.

In a tweet sent out yesterday by HYPEX, they said that thedrivable carsare set to release on the 21st. They remarked that they knew about the release date and weren’t planning on posting it, but others on Twitter knew about the date and were posting it, so they decided to follow suit. A previous leak shared by HYPEX involving Season 3’s flooding turned out to be correct, so their claim about the drivable cars seems like it could be plausible.

One interesting thing worth noting about the release date is that the 21st falls on a Tuesday, which is a change from the usual Wednesday updates for Chapter 2, Season 3. Whenever there’s a change in the update day like this, it’s usually a sign that the Season will go on longer. We already know that the Season isexpected to end around August 26 or 27, but another reliableFortniteleaker has revealed some extra challenges in the game’s code, which means the Season may go on a week longer with a set of Overtime challenges.

There have been plenty of crossovers and events during this season. Most recently,Fortnitecelebrated the 4th of July by airing ascreening of Opus United’sWe the People. The season has also introduced rare golden mushrooms for players to hunt, skins for superheroes like Aquaman and Captain America, andFortniteofficially leaving early access.
