WhileFortniteplayers are patiently awaiting the game’s arrival on Android devices, Epic Games is moving ahead with several plans for that eventual release. For example, those planning on picking up the Android version of the battle royale game may want to know that only 12% of devices will run it well, but also thatpre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy Note 9will reward those dedicated players with 15,000 V-bucks, or approximately $150 in in-game currency.
Now, however, it appears this isn’t the only Android-related in-game bonus forFortnite,as it has been revealed that a certain skin will not be available in the Item shop. While several of the new skins, such as the Beef Boss and the Sushi Master, are available in the shop, the skin bearing the name “Galaxy” will not be. It’s not likely that the name is a coincidence, so it would make tons of sense for the skin to be an Android or Samsung Galaxy exclusive.
However, it’s worth mentioning that neither Epic Games nor Samsung has weighed in on this, so it’s speculation based on the skin’s exclusion from the shop, as well as the name of the skin. Although it’s possible this skin is unlocked via some other manner, it doesn’t seem very likely. Check it out below:
Of course, this exclusive decision rests solely with Epic Games, and while it may upset iOS users, many may be content since it is just a cosmetic item. Those interested in playing the Android version of the game should also know that it won’t beavailable via the Google Play storesince Epic Games determined the ‘store tax’ was too high.
Nevertheless, onceFortnitelaunches on Android devices, the popular game will be playable on practically every platform, which isn’t surprising considering the success of the wildly popular battle royale mode. While the mobile version of the game has yet to enter that arena, it helps solidify the momentumFortnitecarries going forward.
