Fortnite, Epic Games' incredibly successful battle royale, allows players to customize everything. The skin they wear during matches, their backbling and emotes, and even their loading screens and menu music. In a game that is all about personality, it is also possible to change players' names, allowing fans to put together an outfit with a theme and then lean into it with their display name.
There are some important pieces of information players should be aware of before they change their display name. The Epic Games display name is the name that appears on all of Epic’s services. This includes all titles played through Epic Games on PC/Mac, Switch, or mobile. It is also the name that appears on theEpic Games Store Launcher, AnswerHub, and the official forums. For console players, changing their display name will not affect their PSN or Xbox names. Players can only change their name once every two weeks, so they will need to make sure the new name is something they will be happy with for at least that long.
