Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted Announced for PSVR

As manyFive Nights at Freddy’sfans would argue,Five Nights at Freddy’sis one of the best modern horror games, and it looks as if fans will be able to get even more scares from the property in due time. Today, it was announced thatFNaF’swill be receiving a virtual reality title dubbedFive Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, and it is “coming soon” sometime this Spring as a release for those who own PlayStation VR headsets.

This particularFive Nights at Freddy’sproject debuted during Sony’s State of Play, with a trailer showing of multiple instances of intense, up close and personal moments that will occur within the PlayStation VR title. According to a description ofFive Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, the release is a collection of VR experiences that are based on the originalFNaF’sgames, but it will also include several new experiences for players as well.

Unlike the PC or tablet versions ofFive Nights at Freddy’s,FNaF’s VR: Help Wantedplayers will utilize either the DualShock 4 or the PS Move motion controllers as means to play in the world. These methods of control will be utilized to interact with the door and light controls in the offices, pick up objects in the repair games, press buttons on the video switcher, solve puzzles, and activate the flashlight.

It seems as ifFive Nights at Freddy’sVR: Help Wantedwill also incorporate several a new feature that may entice some players to pick it up for PS VR. For instance, one will be able to earn collectibles that can be played with at the prize counter, with “plushies, bobbleheads, action figures, and more” capable of being earned.

Several months ago,Five Nights at Freddy’screator Scott Cawthon proclaimed that he was working closely with another studio on putting out “big-budget game”, but it’s unclear at this point in time ifFive Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wantedis the project which he was referring to at the time. Nevertheless,FNaF’sfans have plenty more stuff on the way inspired by the horror title, as aFive Nights at Freddy’sbook and movieare on the way as well.

Five Nights at Freddy’sVR: Help Wantedis set to release at some point in Spring 2019 for PlayStation VR.
