Silent Hill f Still Looks Creepy And On Brand
What’s New In The Story Trailer
The reveal of Suzie Yeung asSilent Hill f’s lead voice actor was accompanied by a three-minute story trailer, which you can watch above courtesy ofPlayStationon YouTube. The trailer is decidedly cryptic, as previous trailers have been; there’s lots of talk about destroying one’s old self so a new self can be born.
What really shines here, though, is the voice acting. This is, after all, the first time we’ve heard Hinakospeak in English, and she sounds perfectly in line with otherSilent Hillprotagonists - confused, introspective, and thoroughly freaked out.

We also get a fresh look at some ofSilent Hill f’s creepy enemy encounters, as Hinako fights off a strange, marionette-like enemy, and another shrouded in shadow, but with some weird, entrail-like appendages squirming around its stomach.
As the trailer continues,we learn a little more about Hinako’s story. It’ll apparently revolve around her being forced to kill residents of her hometown and her childhood friends - although under what supernatural circumstances is still a little unclear. There’s a motif of remote communication, with phone calls and radio broadcasts recurring throughout.

The trailer ends on a chilling image: Hinako encountering a shadowy version of herself, standing stock still in a half-lit room. There’s a lot we still don’t know aboutSilent Hill f, but with arelease date only a little over a month away, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
