What’s Going On With The MCU’s Iron Fist?

Danny Rand And Colleen Wing Get New Company

Eyes of Wakandaepisode 3 is a major one. So far, there have beentwo versions of Iron Fist in the MCU’s main timeline. The first one was Finn Jones' Danny Rand, with Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing succeeding him. Both characters appeared in Netflix’s The Defenders Saga. While their future is uncertain, the MCU has cast a new Iron Fist.

Jona Xiao voices Jorani, who appears to be the MCU’s first female Iron Fist, in the Black Panther spinoff’s episode set in China, 1400 A.D., and later in Wakanda. The MCU’s new Iron Fist is quite a capable fighter. First, she sneaks into Agent Basha’s ship, getting into the War Dogs' base to retrieve the dragon statue that Basha stole.

Jorani has the same Iron Fist origin story that Finn Jones' Danny Rand had, with the new hero also getting her powers after defeating the immortal dragon Shou-Lao. Given how Basha was reckless throughout the entire episode, it is easy to see how the whole situation could have been avoided. Jorani simply took the Wakandan artifact out of the dragon statue.
