With the Formula 1 season well underway and about to make its first visit to North America, there is a newEA Sports F1 22trailer featuring the series' newest track. The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix is set to take place this week as of writing, andCodemasters is treating fansto their first look at the new track, gameplay, and possibly other additional features.

On the surface, the cars look true to their real-life form but don’t represent some of the final design and performance updates since this is still a preview. The trailer snaps between multiple angles of the 2022F1cars and at one point features a special car livery to commemorate the Miami Grand Prix along with other apparel that will feature in the game’s new F1 Life customizable space. The Miami Vice paint scheme comes with a race suit and helmet design, t-shirt, and cap. These limited-time pre-order bonuses will go to fans who pre-order the Champions Edition before May 16.

The end of the trailer offered fans a tease at one of the new features coming to theF1game franchise. A McLaren drifting around a corner marks the first in-game footage look at supercars in the game. This new feature wasannounced on theEA Sports F1 22site after the title reveal. Pirelli Hotlaps is a feature in some Formula 1 Weekend events where the F1 drivers share a lap around the track with a fan. This weekend event is now coming to theF1game. Though there is still no additional information on this feature, one could start to piece together what will make up the function of this new feature.

It can be expected that there could beone or more supercars from each of the teamsdirectly associated with a car company like Mercedes, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Alpine/Renault, and McLaren as seen in the trailer. These events could feature as part of F1 Life achievements for rewards or for stat boost, development points, or prestige in the My Driver and My Team career modes.

EA Sports F1 22will release on July 1 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
