Ahead of its release in September,Dungeons and Dragonsrevealed the contents of thePlayer’s Handbook, and is actively rolling out deep dive blogs on changes coming to each of its 12 classes.

D&D Beyond offers a 30-day free trial for both of its subscription tiers. Players who plan on picking up these core rulebooks on the digital platform, but who don’t have a subscription yet, should be able to use this free trial to gain access to one book of their choosing ahead of time at no additional charge. There are more than 30 days betweenthe release of eachDungeons and Dragonsbook, however, so fans will have to pay for the subscription if they wish to get early access to the rest.
So far, the updated rules in the newDungeons and Dragons Player’s Handbookhave been well-received. While some changes, like those to the Paladin, have received mixed reviews, theupdates toDungeons and Dragonsclasses like the Fighterand Rogue have been extremely popular. Fans should keep a close eye on D&D Beyond and the officialDungeons and DragonsYouTube and Twitter as they continue to release sneak previews, interviews, and other teasers for things coming in the new core rulebooks.
