The video game streaming world has been rocked by allegations of abuse and sexual misconduct against popular streamers. Dr DisRespect, one of the top streamers onTwitch, has so far not been one of the accused. However, his account was mysteriously banned by Twitch on June 26, with reports from industry insiders saying that Dr DisRespect’s Twitch ban is permanent and he will not be returning to the platform.

Why exactly Dr DisRespect has been banned from Twitch has not been made clear. Some have speculated that he may have been privately accused of abuse, and others think that it pertains to a completely unrelated legal matter. Dr DisRespect himself hasn’t said anything publicly on the situation, and Twitch has only released vague statements that fail to really explain why it decided to permanently ban one of its top streamers. NowDr DisRespect’s wife, known online as MrsAssassin, has released a statement, though it doesn’t provide much in the way of answers either.

Posted to her Instagram, MrsAssassin has stated that there has been an “outpouring of love, support, and strength” from Dr DisRespect’s fans since the Twitch ban. “You all have made my heart full and I can not thank you enough.” She went on to praise theChampion’s Club, which is the name Dr DisRespect uses to describe his fans. “You guys are amazing! Much love to you all.”

Again, at the time of this writing, very few people actually know why Dr DisRespect was permanently banned from Twitch, and those that do know aren’t providing much in the way of concrete information. But based on the end ofDr DisRespect’s last Twitch stream, it appears as though he was told about it live on stream, and whatever it was appeared to cause him some significant distress.

With Dr DisRespect being such a high profile streamer, details about what exactly has happened will likely come to light at some point. Unfortunately, that means speculation as towhy exactly Dr DisRespect was banned from Twitchwill continue.
