It prints money
The leaked details surroundingDisney Infinityhave more or less panned outas originally reported. First releasing this June for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS,Infinitycan be summed up as an extension of theSkylandersconcept, but with Disney and Pixar properties. (Don’t you dare suggest they get Marvel orStar Warscharacters. I’ll faint.)
Real-world figures will be sold alongside this new “game platform,” which offers character-action gameplay in both story-centric Play Sets for individual Disney properties, and a cross-universe Toy Box. The latter mode, a sandbox that allows up to four players to create their own games and worlds, is what got our attention in the first place, but the toys will surely be a hit as well.

Initially, there will be 17 figures sold that can be hooked into a physicalDisney InfinityBase to unlock “world and play experiences” inside the videogame, in addition to Power Discs that will grant these characters “unique powers, customizations, and gadgets.” Translation: lots and lots of money for Disney. And I’m perfectly okay with that.
