Deadpool Is Hunting Age of Revelation’s New Mutant Heroes

Introduced in the recentX-Men: Age of Revelation #0(from Jed MacKay, Edgar Delgado, Humberto Ramos, Victor Olazaba and Joe Caramagna), the X-Virus is a plague created by the villainous 3K group. It kills most humans who contract it, but those who do survive are transformed intohomo superior, complete with new powers. It seems Wade Wilson will suffer this fate, recovering from the disease with his mutant power activated - asecondhealing factor.
Other mutated heroes include Black Widow (water powers),Iron Man (metallic skin)and Shang-Chi (rocky skin.)
In X-Men comics,Wolverine’s healing factor is powered by calories, with Deadpool’s implied to work the same way. It therefore makes sense that if his healing factor is in overdrive, it would quickly starve him. This is further explained by Wade’s original healing factor actually being a dying factor. InBlack Panther vs Deadpool #1(Daniel Kibblesmith and Ricardo Lopez Ortiz), Black Panther figured out thatwhen Wade ‘heals,’ his healthy tissue is replaced by cancerous growths. If his new mutant healing factoractuallyheals him, the two would be locked in a constant battle, with each pushing the other to breaking point.
UnDead-Pool #1will see Wade hunting young mutants inspired by Daredevil, the Fantastic Four, Thor and the Man-Thing.
Thankfully, Deadpool can still be stopped. The solicit information forUnDead-Pool #2shows Wade’s old frenemy Cable coming after him. However, withAge of Revelationhaving no stated end date, it’s unclear how long Deadpool’s horrifying new status quo will last.
