It’s no secret thatDauntlesstakes after Capcom’sMonster Hunterfranchise. And just likeMonster Hunter,Dauntlessplayers are encouraged to craft new weapons and armor using parts harvested from defeating monsters (or Behemoths, as they’re called inDauntless). Most of the weapon and armor upgrades that can be crafted inDauntlessalso require players to harvest specific orbs, which can be done in a number of ways in the game, but there’s one way that’s particularly effective.
To get orbs fast inDauntless, players need to complete Patrols. Patrols are special missions where players fight random Behemoths in exchange for 10 orbs of that Behemoth’s type. Completing six Patrols in a day will grant players an additional 10 orbs to use on crafting, which should make subsequent hunts inDauntlesseasier.

For players to have the best shot at successfully completing Patrols inDauntless, we recommend that they play with their friends.Dauntless’s cross-play capabilitiesmeans that it should be pretty easy to do that, as players can play with friends regardless of platform.
Once players have a solid group together and jump into the Patrols, these are all of the orb types they will be collecting:
Patrols are definitely the best way to farm orbs inDauntless, but orbs can be obtained using other methods as well. For example, players can get orbs fromhunting Behemoths inDauntlessoutside of Patrols, though this is far from the fastest way to get orbs in the game. Completing quests will also get players orbs, but again, Patrols are still the best way to farm orbs inDauntless.
SinceDauntlessis designed as a free-to-play, live-service style game, it’s possible that future updates will add new orbs or ways to get orbs. However, at launch, Patrols are by far the best way to get orbs fast inDauntless.
Dauntlessis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
