How Mark’s Hacking Plot Can Connect To The Conners' Class-Action Lawsuit

Mark Can Land In Jail For His Hacking Activities

As established inThe Connersseason 7premiere,Mark has been earning a lot of money due to under-the-table hacking. Jackie was the first one to actually find out about it and tried to warn him about the matter, but he was adamant about it. Jackie eventually found out, resulting in an intense fight between the mother and son. Understandably, Jackie is worried about him, considering the dangers of his activities. So far, Mark’s hacking methods and the class-action lawsuit about Roseanne’s death have been separate, but the latest scene may be the start of them converging.

Given the money, it’s difficult to imagine that Mark will willingly give up his hacking ways. However, it’s also unlikely thatThe Connerswill end without any kind of fallout from it. Assuming that Mark gets caught, it will require money just to get him out of legal trouble. The funds that will be needed for that may come from whatever settlement the family will receive from the class-action lawsuit. This way,The Connerscan maintain its identity as a show about middle-class American families.

Our Take On The Lingering Storylines In The Conners

Roseanne’s Death Gives The Conners Season 7 A Clear Focus

Obviously, the main focus ofThe Connersseason 7 is Roseanne’s death, which is an interesting choice, considering how the clan has moved on from it. It’s actually a great way to bring the Roseanne franchise full circle. Regardless of what happened behind the scenes, Roseanne remains a beloved member of theConner family. For the longest time, she was the center of the comedy universe, so it makes sense that the clan revisits her tragedy before it ends.

Beyond that, however, it gives the show a clear central plot, with a few B-narratives also simultaneously playing out. That includes Mark’s hacking business and Darlene’s growing frustration with her marriage. Meanwhile, Jackie struggles to be fulfilled on the heels of her retirement. All of these stories will likely all get resolved, resulting in a satisfying send-off inThe Connersfinale.
