It won’t be long before gamers are running through the nostalgia-inducing jungles ofCrash Bandicootonce more, courtesy ofCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. The remastered game is a return of sorts for Sony’s long ignored mascot, and it’ll feature all three of the bandicoot’s initial adventures – albeit with a new coat of much needed paint. As fans await the chance to trek through the all too familiar vistas of the original games, the collection’s publisher Activision and developer Vicarious Visions have begun releasing additional gameplay snippets to satiate fans.
The latest playthrough features a remastered level known as “Sewer Or Later”, which eagle-eyed fans may recall originally debuted inCrash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Not content with simply platforming through the stage, the individual tackling this segment ofCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogyopts to completely clear it with all three gems secured and all boxes broken. It’s an impressive feat to be sure, but those hoping to witness it for themselves need only check out the brief offering of gameplay footage featured below.
Vicarious Visions previously gave gamers a glimpse of a full level called"Upstream" inCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which someCrashaficionados will note came from the very first entry in the series. At this pace it would appear as if the next playthrough will feature an obstacle-ridden area fromCrash Bandicoot: Warped, although this is just simple speculation at this point in time.
Thefuture ofCrash Bandicootwill likely be decided based on how well this remaster does, so there’s unquestionably a lot of potential future plans banking on the success of theN. Sane Trilogy. Although it’s hard to say just how well the title will sell this far out from launch, the beloved PlayStation franchise appears to be well on its way to making a comeback.
