A Plague Tale: Innocenceis already a cult classic just two years after its initial launch and the atmospheric survival game definitely has built a dedicated fanbase in that time. Hype for the series is continuing to grow now that the game’s sequelPlague Tale: Requiemtook the stage at E3 2021and gamers who missed the original may be looking to get caught up before that title arrives in 2022.

Luckily, there may be some ways to do that without dropping the cash for a brand new retail copy ofPlague Tale: Innocence. With so many gamers subscribing to services like PS Plus and Game Pass, it’s always worth double checking the available game libraries and monthly free titles available before heading to a storefront (digital or physical) to pay full price. Although games available through the subscription services aren’t truly free (subscriptions cost money, after all), they are already included in the monthly or annual fee.
