The AMR is a .50 caliber sniper rifle that’s described as an anti-material rifle, which means that it will be useful for fighting vehicles orshooting down helicopters. It probably be pretty good against other players as well, as a sniper rifle in the right hands is one of the deadliest weapons inCall of Duty.
Right now, the general consensus is that the HDR is the best all around sniper rifle inCall of Duty. With theright loadout, the HDR is an absolute killing machine, allowing players to rack up kills from both across the map and up close.
But will the AMR dethrone the HDR? It’s too soon to say. The meta in Call of Duty is constantly shifting, asActivision buffs and nerfs weaponsas it sees fit. Players are also constantly experimenting with new guns, loadouts, and equipment, finding new ways of using weapons that had previously been written off.
Either way, the AMR is certain to be a welcome inclusion toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. A new gun is always an exciting addition to the game, giving players a new toy to customize to their hearts' content. The constant updates toCall of Dutykeep the game feeling fresh, and is one of the reasons the game is so repayable. That being said, players are certainly hoping that this update doesn’t bring anynew glitches to the game.
