Due toCall of Duty: WW2andDestiny 2’s mass appeal and extensive global reach, it won’t be too surprising for many gamers to learn that they rank as the top downloads for PS4 in 2017. The rest of the list, however, could be seen as having some unexpected titles, especially when one considers that three of them didn’t even release in 2017. Plus, it’s interesting to see that the list doesn’t consist of any PlayStation exclusives beyondHorizon: Zero Dawn.

Call of Duty: WW2andDestiny 2not only dominated Sony’s list for the PS4’s most-downloaded games for 2017, but also the two titles showed up in the top three spots for last year’s most-downloaded add-ons. To be specific,Destiny 2’s Expansion Pass took the number two slot, whileCall of Duty: WW2’s Season Pass wound up ranking third on the PS4 add-on list. Perhaps most interestingly, though, isBlack Ops 3’s Zombiesbeing the top-downloaded PS4 add-on of 2017.
