Today’s the final day forEVO 2018, and fighting game fans will surely attest that the event has had a plethora of exciting moments ever since it kicked off on Friday. One of those moments certainly involved the developer Arc System Works announcing nine new DLC characters coming toBlazBlue: Cross Tag Battleduring the title’s finals at EVO 2018, with the fresh roster members set to release across the three different Character Packs 4, 5, and 6, tomorrow on Jun 01, 2025.
As seen below in Arc System works' trailer forBlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s new characters, this season’s roster includes Mitsuru Kirijo fromPersona 4 Arena, Izayoi fromBlazBlue, and Merkava fromUnder Night In-Birthin Character Pack 4. Then there’s Yuzhuhira fromUNIB, Mai Natsume fromBlazBlue, and Akihiko Sanda fromP4Ain Character Pack 5. Rounding out the new brawlers on the way are Nine The Phantom fromBlazBlue, Mika fromUNIB, and Labyrs fromP4Ain Character Pack 6.
For thoseBlazBlue: Cross Tag Battlefans looking forward to obtaining the nine new DLC characters, each of the aforementioned Character Packs will set players back $5 a piece, which isn’t too shabby considering competing fighting games likeInjustice 2charges around $20 for its Fighter Packs. Plus, it seems as if players can look forward to the addition of even more roster additions down the line. As it so happens, the trailer also teases that a new franchise will be incorporated into the game, as a pink diamond is added into the mix of title’s blue, yellow, purple, and red diamond icons, along with text that reads, “A new fate intertwines…”.
Naturally, Arc System Works didn’t reveal who else is going to be added toBlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, but it’s safe to say that a lot of the fan base will keep their eyes peeled for as much information as possible when it comes to finding out the character’s identity. Those aren’t on the hunt for the next franchise crossing over withB:CTBwill likely remain content for the time being with the confirmed nine new roster members on the way.
