A popular indie game franchise from the Wii and Nintendo 3DS era may be making a return on the Nintendo 3DS, if a recent leak is to be believed. TheBit.Tripseries of rhythm games were a series of titles released largely between 2009 and 2011, but largely faded along with the Wii generation. But what appears to be an accidentally published listing in theNintendo SwitcheShop shows that theseBit.Tripgames may be returning in December.

The six games included in the Nintendo Switch eShop listing areBit.Trip Core,Bit.Trip Void,Bit.Trip Runner,Bit.Trip Fate,Bit.Trip Flux, andBit.Trip Beat. These are the six core titles in theBit.Tripfranchise, making up its entirety outside ofRunner2andRunner3that have been released more recently. But, surprisingly, the games aren’t being listed as a bundle on Switch, they’re each being made available individually for £4.49, since the leak comes from the European eShop store.

TheBit.Tripfranchise has been released before as a compilation on other platforms. The Bit.Tripwas an enhanced collection of these six games released in 2015. It was released exclusively on PlayStation platforms including the PS Vita, PS3, and PS4. This is the first timeBit.Trip’s been available on a Nintendo platformsince 2011, and they still haven’t been released on Xbox platforms.

Bit.Tripgames being released on the Nintendo Switch does bring up the question as to what developerChoice Provisionsis currently working on. The team most recently put outBubsy: Paws on Fire!in 2019, which hopefully means the team is saving up its energy for something special. Perhaps even a return to theBit.Tripseries. Hopefully, it starts with confirmation of theBit.Tripgames coming to Nintendo Switch soon.

TheBit.Tripgames are rumored to be coming to Nintendo Switch on December 25.
