8Big Brother Is Returning For Its 27th Season
The Show Has Been On Since 2000
Big Brotheris one of the longest-running reality showsof all time. Unlike most shows, which finish filming before airing on TV,Big Brotherdoes things differently. While audiences are tuning in three days a week to watch the drama unfold on the social experiment, the cast members are living in theBig Brotherhouse playing the game live.
Viewers cantune into theBig Brotherlive feedson Paramount+ to watch the houseguests game, strategize, and lie around in real time. However, the feeds get cut during important moments, such as competitions and nomination ceremonies. That being said, fans can still get a much clearer picture of each cast member’s gameplay than on similar shows.

Julie Chenwill be returning as host of the long-running social experiment. In the 26 seasons of the show thus far, Julie has only missed one live eviction, which happened last year whenshe got COVID-19.Actor Jerry O’Connell filled in as host, and Julie returned the next week to thunderous applause.
New twists are introduced every season, and last season, the main twist was called the A.I. Arena. Instead of two nominees each week, the head of household nominated three houseguests, and a live eviction-night competition would save one, leaving the house with just two remaining players to vote for. Due to the success of the A.I. Arena, Julie toldUs Weeklythe twist may return for another summer.
