Several weeks ago, the video game designer Michel Ancel promised fans thata fresh gameplay stream would occur this monthto show off more of Ubisoft’s forthcoming action-adventure title,Beyond Good and Evil 2. Now, it looks as if Ancel was as good as his word, withBG&E2fans getting a closer look at the project through a fresh gameplay update video and a lengthy live stream with Senior Producer Guillaume Brunier and Associate Creative Director Emile Morel.

As seen in the first video below,Beyond Good and Evil 2provides an overview for some of the gameplay elements including augments, intergalactic traversal, ship-to-ship combat, combat skills, the scope of its co-op, how players can recruit characters into their crew, and more. Those who dive into the second video will get to see some of the game’s latest concept art and watch several in-depth gameplay breakdowns involving combat, surface-to-space transitioning, and more with developer commentary.

There’s no doubt that many gamers who give the aboveBeyond Good and Evil 2videos a gander will walk away impressed with the sheer scale and scope of what Ubisoft is attempting to pull off with the project. However, with the title being in pre-alpha, there’s still a lot more that needs to be done to ensure the final product is as pristine as possible upon release. With this being the case, there’s no telling just yet when we should expect to hear about a locked-in launch date. After all,BG&E2has not even committed to specific platforms yet.

All things considered, there’s a good chance thatBeyond Good and Evil 2won’t officially become available until a long time from now, especially with Michel Ancel having declared that Ubisoft isaiming to put out the beta at the end of 2019. So, it will be interesting to see ifBeyond Good and Evil 2even manages to release during the current generation of console hardware, as there’s always the chance we could see it launch when the PlayStation 5 and next Xbox have already hit the market.

Beyond Good and Evil 2is currently in development, but lacks an official release date and platforms.
