Baldur’s Gate 3 Spoilers Ahead

Baldur’s Gate 3is so expansive that many players, to this day, have not seen everything the game offers. Part of this is also the fact that there are three starting types of characters: a custom-made Tav, an origin character like Karlach, or The Dark Urge. Each changes things like the narration, whileThe Dark Urge gives even more background toBG3’s storyalongside some general chaos. Even then, within those playthroughs,Baldur’s Gate 3players can have a completely distinct experience, and one way that can happen applies to Gale.

Many Durge players have likely fantasized, in character (or out), about chopping Gale up. The result of this dialogue choice inBaldur’s Gate 3sees the Durge blackout and actually do so, keeping Gale’s Hand as a souvenir. Given the sheer number of hours betweenBaldur’s Gate 3Act 1, when this happens, and Act 3, players are likely to forget about this moment completely; however, there’s a secret, missable cutscene for a Durge character in Act 3 that brings Gale’s Hand back into play.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Impress the Murder Tribunal

When players get toBG3Act 3, one quest will see Tavs and Origin Characters seek toimpress the Murder Tribunal. There are multiple ways to do so, ensuring that the experience is distinct; for example, they can forego impressing the Tribunal as a whole, just to get answers andface off with Sarevok inBG3too. There are so many ways to shake out that, if anyone has done it before and returns as a Durge, it’s exciting to a degree that they don’t have to impress anyone. Their blood, as a Bhaalspawn, is all that’s really needed; however, they can still seek to impress the tribunal, should they so choose.

In this case, players of any background can put forth some form of murder(s) as evidence. This ranges, obviously, depending on player choice, but the Durge is the only character who can present Gale’s Hand. Doing so triggers a unique cutscene where Gale is summoned in a bloodied form, and players can relish in their description of murdering Gale. Those who have not encountered this scene can get a brief preview in the above clip, by Tiktok creator Toyhouze, and relish what their Durge would say.

Other endings for Gale are much less dark, depending on choices. Other possible endings for Gale include him detonating the orb, becoming the God of Ambition, or surrendering the crown to Mystra. Origin Gale can also become The Absolute or have his humanity restored after becoming Illithid. This speaks to the sheer number of possibilities andpermutations inBG3.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Gale in the Murder Tribunal is Just One Scene You Haven’t Experienced

It’s practically a beaten horse at this point, but the number of possible permutations, unique scenes, and more for eachBG3playthrough is truly remarkable. Many games will claim to have replay value or to provide unique playthroughs, but these usually require squinting to a certain degree. That’s not the case here. Gale could become a God of Ambition, he could become the Absolute, or he could be a summoned spirit players get the pleasure of toying with. Alongside this scene with Gale, there are plenty of other BG3 secrets many players haven’t encountered from Zombie Minthara toKarlach breakingBG3’s fourth wall, and what’s exciting is this is nowhere near the end.

It’s been months since the game has come out, but the smart money is there are still a few secrets hidden away in the game, tucked behind some crevice no players have sought to seek out (and make public). Gale’s Hand is just one example, and it’s really exciting for the game’s longevity, even if there’s noBG3DLC or sequelon the way.
