As players go through dungeons inBaldur’s Gate 3they’ll enjoy their time. Even so, they usually don’t want to have to come back. Grabbing all the treasure in one single run is a great time-saving idea and it keeps the game from getting monotonous.

Yet some gamers will find that they’ve missed expensive valuables, critical keys of a quest, or incredible gear inBaldur’s Gate 3. It’s hard to see everything amidst the clutter and the shadows. Players should be highlighting items with a button in addition to scanning the screen with their eyes.

One of the major issues players have is that this button highlights most valuable objects and interactable items but it does not highlight every object as of this writing. Players who want to pick up every scrap of food and trinket will still have to use their eyes when theyleave camp.

Players using a controller also have access to an active search option to be extra sure they don’t miss anything. Holding down X on a PlayStation 5 controller or A on an Xbox Series X/S controller will search everything nearby, including cheaper baubles. A screen will open up on the left and gamers can decide what to do with each piece.

If players do decide to pick up everything,watch out for encumbrance. Even the strongest characters will get bogged down with constant looting. Ultimately, there is a great deal of wealth to find in the game. Make sure to pick up pricy tidbits and treasures but don’t feel bad about leaving some of the heavy and cheap things behind.

Baldur’s Gate 3is available now for PC. The PlayStation 5 version will be available on September 6th, 2023. A version for Xbox Series X/S is still in development.
